Our Life In Boxes

Well it's official!  After 3 months of waiting, we are now Kansans (or Kansanites?).  We packed up "Grapes of Wrath" style and headed north to the golden fields of Kansas City.  Though, more of the local landscape is actually green pastures and rolling hills.  We live in a thriving suburb, yet literally have cow pastures on two sides of our apartment complex!

All of our belongings  have arrived safely, and we are slowing making our way through the mountain of boxes and packing paper. More importantly, the whole family arrived safely thanks to the help of Margee, Chris' Mom, and sweet niece, Miranda.  They made the trek with Jonah in tow and helped keep him (and us) entertained. (THANK YOU!)

I will have to admit that this has been a bit of an emotional move.  On one hand, we are terribly sad to leave our life and friends in Stillwater (and our home), but on the other hand, we are so excited to have the opportunity to experience life in Kansas City.  We've already encountered such generous and engaging people, and Jonah is not at all lacking fun activities to do on a daily basis.  Already he's visited Monkey Business, The Crown Center's Kaleidoscope, a Royals game, the local library, Target (that's fun for any age), and the YMCA pool!

I guess now we just have to finish unpacking to really feel like this is "home."  Until next time...

Jonah has done more fun activities in a week than I feel like i've done in 20 years! I'm glad you're liking it. I can't wait to see you again. Love you!
